Since the beginning I knew it would be a unique creative experience and adventure working with Shep. I had the privilege to work directly with Shep since May 2017 when he first assigned me with a few creative branding projects that would help launch his new products enhancing the group’s brand as well as the vibrant resort destination. We were on course to launch these on October 2017 until the most powerful Atlantic hurricane in recorded history, a devastating Category 5 storm tabled those plans and redefined our roles and that of everyone else. I strongly believe in connections and that people are brought together to play pivotal parts in the grand scheme of things. From pre-, during- and post-storm to the recovery, rebuilding, training and reopenings of the resorts, casino and theatre, Shep has shown exemplary management and effective communication skills throughout. Alongside his colleagues and other team players within The Maho Group, I’ve seen a 3D layer of what empathy, passion, strength, teamwork, leadership and hard work can deliver. He definitely ticks off all the definitive boxes of what a consummate professional means while motivating others in further thinking. When we picked up where we left off and continued on creative developments in 2018 to relaunch several of his products in 2019, there was such an indescribable yet understandable synergy, it continued to burst into other projects, events and initiatives enhancing the guest experience, which produced astonishing results. From art direction and product development to guest experience and entertainment including the production of live shows to training and connectivity…the possibilities are endless with Shep. To witness firsthand these accomplishments covered in the media and rated high among guest reviews have reaffirmed what I already knew in working with Shep…indeed, it has been a unique creative experience and an amazing adventure working together - a grand experience that I am proud of and honored to be a part of.
