Alice in Wonderland Puppets praised by critics in dazzling Marylebone Theatre debut
Many years ago Chris was tasked with creating the first few Alice in Wonderland puppets for an Australian production by Producers Broadway Haus. After years of development across international stages, Alice in Wonderland finally travelled further afield and came to London in a beautiful new version at the Marylebone Theatre.
This production has been a long and rewarding journey — I’ve had the joy of designing and building the puppets for this show as it’s evolved over the years. From its early versions overseas in Australia to its latest reimagining in London, the puppets have grown along with the production — and it’s been wonderful to see them come to life on this stage. The London show was produced by Broadway Haus and DEM Productions, and is Designed and Directed by Nate Bertone.
